Over a series of mornings late in April a small number of conservationists gathered early morning on the Lek to watch and listen to the Black Grouse at full throttle. There were over forty black cock birds on the Lek on any given morning providing a tremendous display, at quite a volume.
We have added photos taken by some of our visitors to the gallery. Not all the photos were of the Lek. It isn’t just the Black Grouse out after dawn. Other photos show a range of characters about the moorland early morning.
Not just bird life.
Here is a selection of the recent photos – this is a slideshow but you can also click on the image for the next one to appear:
Lots of Black Grouse and other photos from the uplands on our Gallery page.
